Trusted Authentication to OhioLINK
IAM Ohio provides secure, federated access to OhioLINK, the Ohio Library and Information Network and its member libraries.
Trusted Identity uses federation and single sign-on as a flexible foundation for research and academics. Specific collaboration activities within the IAMOhio program include:
SERVICE CATALOG DEVELOPMENT
The Federated Service Catalog is a database of the available services from members which support trusted login, including the type of service, who made it available, its purpose, attributes, and administrative and technical contact information. Initial draft services include:
1. OhioLINK
2. EduRoam
ARCHITECTURE DEVELOPMENT
Design and planning of federation structure and schema for an operationalized Trusted Identity Network. This includes choice of models, development of requirements, and alignment with external trust federations.
IMPLEMENTATION & BEST PRACTICES
Facilitation of campus-level identity management maturity through creation of architecture & operational best practices. This includes standards & practices for authentication, authorization, and assurance. This will be performed through interviews, documentation, and consultation.
FIDM CHAMPIONS
Recruitment and collaboration with FIDM Champion partners from outside the IT organization. Stakeholders include but are not limited to Registrars, Provosts/Chief Academic Officers, Chief Research Officers, Library Services, Student Services, Technology Licensing and Partership, Instructional Technology, K-12 Education, private-sector innovation.
